SpeedPulse guide
Ping vs Latency Explained
Ping is a practical measurement of latency: the time a small network request takes to travel to a server and back.
Latency basics
Lower latency means quicker response. Under 30 ms is excellent, 30 to 60 ms is good, and above 100 ms can feel delayed.
Jitter basics
Jitter is latency variation. Low jitter keeps voice, video, and games consistent.
How to improve it
Use Ethernet, reduce background traffic, move closer to the router, or choose a nearer game or conference server.
